What is the No More Room in Hell 2 Power Plant map?
Pennsylvania Light & Electric — the Early Access flagship Objective map. Scatter spawn on the rural edges, group, complete a randomized POI chain, extract at the plant.
This No More Room in Hell 2 power plant guide is the Objective walkthrough for Pennsylvania Light & Electric, the Early Access flagship map from Torn Banner Studios: scatter spawn on the rural edges, group, clear a randomized POI chain, then extract at the plant. Start scenarios flip between radio/key side doors and the original laptop-to-gate path. Armageddon 1.0 removed the Bio-Scanner start. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam · 1.0 notes.

No More Room in Hell 2 power plant is a large rural Objective map, not a corridor shooter. Official 1.0 framing: Objective scenarios ask you to complete a linear progression of CRC tasks, then survive a high-stakes extraction window. On Pennsylvania Light & Electric that chain starts on the wilderness edge and ends inside the plant. Welcome notes.

| Layer | What you do | Fail state |
|---|---|---|
| Edge wilderness | Loot melee, pills, a flashlight; ping the nearest Responder | Solo-sprinting a radio while the squad is still spawning |
| Outer POIs | Resolve the start (radios + key, or two laptops) and pick up medical | Opening Church or Sawmill with empty stamina |
| Mid ring | Checkpoint, Train Station, Substation, Train Yard — collapse toward the fence | Farming every stash after the gate is already open |
| Plant core | Generators or three-machine repair from the control room | Splitting eight ways across catwalks |
| Extract | Board the plant window as a living stack | Starting the last interact at veins with an empty Phalanx bottle |
Power Plant shipped with Early Access in October 2024 and is still a core 1.0 Objective map alongside Pottsville, Lewiston, Broadway, Beaulieu Hospital, and Raven Rock. The layout is readable: woods and outposts outside, industrial yards in the middle, plant core last. That is why the beginner guide points here first. Readable is not the same as quiet. Scripted objective sequences scale zombie count and speed with difficulty, so a Beginner generator is not a Nightmare generator. 1.0 notes.
Drops roll time of day and weather. Daylight makes Church and Gas Station easy to read; dusk and rain hide Walkers in the Sluice Gate stairs and the Train Yard. Nightmare Difficulty adds official thick fog and a hardcore HUD with no objective markers — you still get infection status and VOIP. Treat fog as a grouping problem, not a graphics setting: if you cannot see the next ping, you are already split. Full map list: maps.
Players spawn scattered on the edges of Pennsylvania Light & Electric. The first two minutes are a meeting, not a race. Proximity voice does not cover Church to Sawmill. Hit the group-up ping so the nearest Responders can see you and hear you, then walk inward together.
Scattered spawn is the design. CRC drops you around the wilderness, lookouts, and outposts so the first loot pass is personal and the first objective is social. A one-hand blunt and a bandage beat a loud gun you will dump at the next cache. Unload magazines from guns you will not keep. The melee guide is the swing page for those first yards: shove, recover, then swing. Empty stamina on a grab at Ranger Station is how a Responder dies before the squad has a name for the start.
NIGHTMARE added a short backfill window on freshly started matches, using the same spawn points. If you load in after the radios are already found, you are late to a live chain — walk to the cluster, do not restart Church. Late arrivals also used to miss open checkpoint gates; 1.0 fixed that visibility bug, but you still need the ping. NIGHTMARE notes.
Power Plant randomizes the opening. Official NIGHTMARE copy added a radio/key start beside the original laptop-to-gate path, then 1.0 removed the Bio-Scanner initial objective because it degraded this map. Read the first CRC prompt before you split the squad. NIGHTMARE notes · 1.0 notes.
| Start | What CRC asks | Where it usually lives | How you enter the plant |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original | Disable Power Plant Gate security on laptops | Two of: Field Hospital, Sluice Gate, Train Station, Checkpoint, Sawmill, Ranger Station | Main gate once both laptops are done |
| Radio / key | Find 3 radios → follow them to a body → take the nearby key | Radios near spawn: Church, Firewatch Tower, Gas Station (locations roll) | One of three side entrances |
| Bio-Scanner (removed) | Scanner-led opening objective | Cut in Armageddon 1.0 — do not plan a route around it | N/A |
The radio start replaces the laptop-to-main-gate beat. Official text: find three radios; they direct you to a body with a key nearby; that key opens one of three side entrances. Radios should not spawn far from your start, and they generally sit in previously optional sites — Church, Firewatch Tower, Gas Station. Do not send eight people to one radio. Send pairs, call the find, then stack on the body. Carrying the key solo across the Train Yard is how the door opens with one Responder and seven still looting Sawmill.
The original start was retuned in the same update: disable gate security through laptops at two of Field Hospital, Sluice Gate, Train Station, Checkpoint, Sawmill, or Ranger Station. That is a two-site job, not a full-map farm. Once both laptops are done, collapse to the main gate as a stack. Leaving one player on a third “optional” laptop while the gate is live is how you start the plant under-manned.
If the prompt mentions scanners, you are not on this Power Plant opening — Bio-Scanner is gone from this map’s start in 1.0. Read the live CRC prompt.
The No More Room in Hell 2 power plant guide chain is edge POIs first, then the mid ring, then the plant. 1.0 scales stash-room loot to the player count at each POI, so a two-person Church is not an eight-person Church. The table is a teaching menu of named sites — not an official “N POI” census. Clear what the start needs, then move. Do not collect the whole county.
| POI | Role on the chain | Typical job | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Church | Outer optional / radio site | Radio on radio/key start; quiet melee loot | Interior Walkers; gunfire rings the yard |
| Sluice Gate | Original laptop pool | Laptop or path control through the waterworks | Tight stairs — official notes zombies now navigate them |
| Sawmill | Original laptop pool | Laptop plus a stash room (pipe bombs have lived here) | Machinery interiors; easy to get cut off from the road |
| Ranger Station | Original laptop pool | Laptop / lookout; isolated edge loot | Solo deaths before the squad has grouped |
| Checkpoint | Original laptop pool | Laptop, cargo boxes, medical clutter | Cargo and blood-bag stands in the loot path |
| Train Station | Original laptop pool | Laptop; mid-map rally if the squad is split east-west | Open approaches; Runners if you shoot the platform |
| Substation | Mid-ring infrastructure | Power / path toward the fence | Electrical interiors; do not start it while the start is unfinished |
| Train Yard | Approach to the plant | Staging, last outdoor loot, side-entrance walks | Wide sightlines — a mag dump pulls the yard |
| Field Hospital | Original laptop pool | Laptop plus the best early medical on the map | Tight rooms; a bite here starts the infection clock early |
| Gas Station | Outer optional / radio site | Radio on radio/key start; fuel-lot loot | Open lot; Runners punish a loud reload |
| Plant core | Final objectives + extract | Generators, or repair 3 machines at Power Plant HQ | Scripted waves; catwalks; gas rooms; control-room roll |
Outer POIs are where melee pays rent: Quick Walkers, shove to reset, Charged on isolated heads. Save unsuppressed rifles for Primes and the extract panic. A Church shot can be walked off. A plant-core shot during a generator minigame is a new wave. If the squad is already infected, skip the next optional stash and read extract.
The plant is the loud room. Official end variety: the original generator beats, or a control-room roll that sends you to repair and replace three types of machinery around Power Plant HQ. You can escort one piece as a stack or gamble solo carries. Stack. NIGHTMARE notes.

| Beat | What the squad does | Do not |
|---|---|---|
| Enter as a stack | Side door or main gate — wait until the late pings arrive | Trickle in one at a time so the first two eat the foyer |
| Read the end | Control room tells you generators vs three-machine repair | Start a generator “because that is what we did last drop” |
| Hold the interact | One player on the minigame, two on doors, rest on catwalks | Eight people watching the same box |
| Repair carry (alt end) | Move each machine piece with an escort | Solo-walking a part across HQ while the rest loot |
| Gas / sealed rooms | Clear, seal, move — 1.0 fixed clouds that refused to dissipate | Re-entering a sealed room to “check one more crate” |
| Catwalks | Melee on stairs; guns only on Primes you cannot reach | Charged swings on a narrow grate with empty stamina |
1.0 says scripted objective scenarios now scale speed and zombie count with difficulty. A Beginner generator is a teaching interact. A Nightmare generator is a hold with fog, no objective markers, and a battery that can hit zero. Assign roles before the minigame starts: who clicks, who watches the stair, who holds pills. If a Responder is already at hallucinations, they are not the clicker — they are the extract candidate.
Broadway teaches vertical night streets and a train extract. Power Plant HQ teaches industrial interiors and a plant-window extract. Do not import “split the block and meet at the theatre.” Import “stack the interact, melee the stairs, abort if the bottle is empty.” The maps hub is the comparison; this page is the plant.
Extract is at the plant after the central objectives, not at Church and not at the Gas Station lot. The exact pad can vary with the end scenario, but the rule does not: you board as a living stack, or you call early extract before the core deletes the slot. Official 1.0: early extract keeps the Responder with little XP; final extract pays Character XP and Credits from team Supplies. Welcome notes.
| Call | When | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| Continue to plant extract | Start is done, kit is stable, no one is at veins | Full XP and team Supplies → Credits if you survive the window |
| Early extract before the core | Infection advancing, Gene Therapy gone, expensive loadout at risk | The Responder — little Character XP |
| Early extract during the core | A wipe is mid-hold and the pad is still reachable | Whoever can still walk; do not wait for the last generator |
| Infected board | Pills left, veins not on the glass, squad agrees | The slot if you stay in control — turning on the pad is a wipe |
Objective maps end on a high-stakes extraction window. Power Plant puts that window on the industrial side after generators or the three-machine repair. 1.0 also added extra time on some rope-extract beats and fixed a Radio Station stuck spot on this map — useful, not a reason to linger. Once the extract prompt is live, stop opening stash rooms. The extract page is the decision sheet; this paragraph is the geography.
Death while infected can turn you into a hostile zombie. Veins on the glass means you may not finish the window. Say the symptom and the remaining Phalanx doses before anyone starts the last interact. If the kit is gone and hallucinations just started, early extract is the correct Power Plant play. Infection clock: infection.
Scan this before you queue Pennsylvania Light & Electric again. Most deleted slots here are process errors: racing the start, farming the whole POI list, or treating the plant like a loot house.
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Solo-sprinting the first radio or laptop | Group-up ping, then pairs — never a lone interact |
| Playing the removed Bio-Scanner start | 1.0 cut it — read the live prompt · 1.0 notes |
| Clearing every outer POI every drop | Clear the start set, then collapse to the fence |
| Unsuppressed mag dump at Church or Gas Station | Melee first — melee |
| Starting a generator before the late pings arrive | Hold the foyer until the stack is in the room |
| Solo-carrying a repair part across HQ | Escort each piece; official text allows the gamble, the wipe does not |
| Farming Train Yard after the gate is open | The plant is the objective, not another stash |
| Final extract at veins | Early extract — extract |
| Importing Broadway split-push habits | Stack the interact · Broadway is a different map |
| Treating Solo as a Credits farm | Solo has no permadeath and no regular XP — drill the route, then run Beginner Objective |
Pennsylvania Light & Electric — the Early Access flagship Objective map. Scatter spawn on the rural edges, group, complete a randomized POI chain, extract at the plant.
After the central plant objectives. The exact pad can vary with the end scenario (generators vs three-machine HQ repair). Early extract is available if the slot is at risk.
Original: two laptops from Field Hospital, Sluice Gate, Train Station, Checkpoint, Sawmill, or Ranger Station, then the main gate. Radio/key: three radios (often Church, Firewatch Tower, Gas Station) lead to a body and a key for a side entrance.
Yes. Armageddon 1.0 removed the Bio-Scanner initial objective on Power Plant. Do not plan a route around scanners here.
Yes for a first Objective extract. The layout is readable. Broadway and Hospital hit harder. Practice the route in Solo, then queue Beginner Objective.
Yes — drops roll time and weather. Nightmare adds thick fog and a hardcore HUD with no objective markers. Group-up pings matter more when you cannot see the next POI.
Community-named sites include Church, Sluice Gate, Sawmill, Ranger Station, Checkpoint, Train Station, Substation, Train Yard, Field Hospital, Gas Station, and the plant core. Official copy does not publish a fixed census — follow the live CRC prompt. You will not visit every site every drop.
A control-room roll can replace generators with repairing three types of machinery around Power Plant HQ. Escort each piece. Solo carries are allowed and are how stacks wipe.
The maps hub, the extract decision sheet, Broadway for the night-city contrast, then melee for the edge-fight loop.
