Next: Lock infection calls
Matched by build plan, shared topics, and guide progression — not random related links.
How to do early extract No More Room in Hell 2 is a squad call, not a hidden button you mash after the wipe. Official 1.0 copy: early extraction opens after a short period in the run so Responders can leave if the mission feels insurmountable. Exact unlock minutes are TBA. You keep the character. You take little progression. That is the trade. Welcome notes.
Trigger
What you do
Do not
Infection advancing, kit gone
Ping extract, say dose count, path to the pad — infection
Start another radio / generator “for Supplies”
Squad down past the respawn rule
Open early extract while someone still controls a living slot
Loot the bodies through a fresh horde
Expensive loadout, cheap remaining time
Abort. A living slot beats a full Supply bag
Treat Rescue Beacon as a reason to stay
Survival: two failed speaker waves
Early extraction opens as a disaster brake — take it
Queue a third doomed wave on a leveled Responder
Last CRC interact, hallucinations just started
Call abort before the interact
Finish the chain because the pad “will be right there”
Do01Say the abort on proximity voice before anyone starts the last objective beat
Do02Ping the extract so split loot-runners actually path in
Do03Count Phalanx uses out loud if anyone is infected
Do04Leave collapsing teammates off the pad unless they still control the character
Do05On Survival, treat two failed waves as the extract cue, not a retry
Call it before the last interact
CRC Objective maps (Power Plant, Broadway, Hospital, and the rest of the maps list) end in a loud final window. The last interact is the point of no return for a lot of scenarios. If infection, downs, or a missing Gene Therapy already made the run a loss, opening early extract is the correct play — not one more POI. Exact pad locations vary by scenario; treat in-match pings as source of truth, not a memorized screenshot.
What you keep is the roster, not the crate
A first-drop Responder from the beginner guide is cheap to replace in Credits and expensive in time. A later slot with Expert skills and a shop gun is the opposite. Early extract exists so that second kind of slot walks out. If you needed a full payout to justify the queue, you queued the wrong difficulty or the wrong loadout — fix that in camp, not on the pad.
Early extract vs final extract — which should I take?
Official 1.0 framing: early extract preserves the life and pays little; final extract converts team Supplies into Credits and grants Character XP to anyone who boards that way. Use the table, then stop arguing in the doorway.
Call
You keep
You give up
Take it when
Early extract
The Responder — levels, skills, field loadout
Character growth; only a small Credits trickle (exact % TBA)
Infection advancing, squad past respawn, or the slot is too expensive to lose
Final extract
Character XP + Credits equal to the whole team’s Supplies
Time — the last window is the loudest beat on the map
Squad intact, infection stable or cured, pad holdable
Infected extract, still in control
The slot if you board alive (infection does not carry)
Full XP if you abort early instead
Kit is gone, pills remain, you can still walk and shoot
Infected extract at veins
Almost nothing if you convert mid-window
A hostile zombie inside the extract plus a deleted slot
Never — peel or self-remove off the pad
One more Supply crate
Maybe a larger Credits payout later
The Responder if the next room bites
Never while collapsing or while Hard/Nightmare has no respawn left
Supplies only cash out on final extract
CRC asks the squad to collect a Supplies quota (next to the inventory wheel). Those Supplies convert to Credits at final extract, not at the early pad. Rare Supplies pay more and occupy inventory — dumping a medical stack to carry a rare crate is only correct if you still intend to finish. Early extract throws most of that bag away on purpose. That is not a bug. It is the fee for keeping the Responder.
If the squad is still healthy and the kit is in a pocket, finish. If two people are down and the cough is getting worse, the Credits on the wheel are already lost — leave.
Final extract is a hold, not a loot piñata
Objective finals are high-stakes windows. Survival pays a helicopter after three successful speaker waves. 1.0 added extra time on rope-extract beats so the last climber is not auto-failed by the animation — still do not start the rope if veins are already on the glass. Guns go loud here. If you have been melee-quiet all match, do not mag-dump on the pad unless a Prime is in the door. Map-specific beats live on the maps hub; this page’s job is the pay-versus-slot decision.
What if I extract infected?
Extract infected is a timed gamble, not a field cleanse. If you board alive, the infection does not carry into the next deployment — you keep the Responder. If you collapse in the extract window, you can turn and attack the squad that was trying to save you. Call it before the vehicle, not during. Symptom list: infection.
State
Extract call
Why
Cough, two Phalanx left, Gene Therapy unseen
Path to kit or open early extract
Delay still buys travel; another POI does not
Hallucinations, bottle empty, kit pinged across the map
Early extract if the two-step cannot finish
Gene Therapy needs a sample plus a wait — veins may not leave time
Veins on the glass, pad already open
Peel. Do not board collapsing
Conversion inside the window is a wipe tool
Cured / immune, squad holding
Stay for final extract
The infected clock is gone; Supplies can still pay
Alive on the pad is a cleanse. Collapse is not.
Boarding while infected wipes the condition for the next drop. That is why early extract is the correct infected play when the match’s one Gene Therapy is already spent. Do not treat the helicopter as Gene Therapy for a player who can no longer stand. If you will turn before the door closes, you are bringing a zombie into the extract. Say so. The squad can peel, you can self-remove away from the pad, or they can leave you. Silent collapse next to the vehicle is the wipe.
Tell them the timer, not the vibe
“I am fine” is useless. “Two doses, no kit, I can hold to the pad” lets the squad pick early vs greed. Coughs are audible nearby, so waiting until “it gets bad” means they hear you before you brief them. Pass bottles toward the worst timer. If the collapsing slot is the expensive one, that player gets the kit or the abort — not the healthiest Responder hunting immunity. Habit list: tips.
Does Rescue Beacon replace early extract?
Rescue Beacon is a high-end loadout consumable: it blocks the next character-loss event, costs Credits or Merits, and occupies a loadout slot. It is insurance. It is not a reason to hold final extract on a collapsing clock. Armageddon 1.0 notes.
Fact
Detail
What it blocks
The next instance of loss the Responder would receive (permadeath on)
What it costs
Credits or Merits — shop prices TBA
Slot cost
One loadout slot for the whole drop
Consumable
Burns on use; maintaining coverage across failed runs is expensive
Who it helps
Even Beginner, if extracts keep deleting slots — official 1.0 copy
What it is not
A cleanse, a respawn token, or a substitute for early extract
Buy it for a slot you intend to keep
Do not put Beacon on Tutorial or Solo — Solo has no permadeath and no regular XP. Put it on a Responder you have already extracted once, especially before Hard or Nightmare. Details and roster slots: Responders. If the Beacon is equipped and you still open early extract, you did not waste it. You declined to spend it on a greedy final that was already a wipe.
Beacon saves the roster. It does not save the window.
If you die infected in the field, Beacon can block the character-loss. It does not stop the body from becoming a problem for the people still fighting. An infected extract still needs you in control through the door. Spend Beacon so a Nightmare down does not delete Expert skills. Spend early extract so the down never happens on the pad. Using both as a license to finish every CRC chain is how expensive Responders disappear.
How does difficulty change the extract call?
Respawn rules change when “stay for one more objective” is legal. Beginner forgives downs. Hard and Nightmare do not. Read the row for the queue you actually clicked. Armageddon notes.
Difficulty
Respawn
Extract implication
Beginner
Timer respawn — Responders return each minute if not sooner; −30% zombie HP; UI hints on
Still abort on advancing infection. Mission fail and extract fail can still delete the slot
Normal
Respawn after a major objective; Character XP 125%
Late match can pass the last checkpoint — a 1.0 note flags leftover “you will respawn” UI after that. Treat a late down as final
Hard
Harsher: every death is final. Account XP 150% · Character XP 200% · Credits 150%
Do not “wait for the next objective respawn.” It is not coming. Early extract or Beacon
Nightmare
Harsher: every death is final. Account XP 200% · Character XP 300% · Credits 200%; more Runners / Primes; tighter ammo
Highest payout, highest slot cost. Cheap loadouts and early-extract discipline before you farm this
Beginner timer is not a reason to finish collapsing
A one-minute return lets the squad recover a downed player on Beginner. It does not return a Responder after a failed extract or a full mission fail. Official copy: permadeath is always a threat at extraction or complete mission fail; higher difficulties make every death final. If the infected player will convert before the timer, they are still a zombie problem on the pad. Extract or peel.
Hard and Nightmare pay you to be wrong slower
The multipliers are the bait. A Nightmare final extract that converts a fat Supply bag is the best Credits drop in the game. A Nightmare down on an Expert slot with a shop gun and no Beacon is the most expensive mistake. If you cannot name why the squad will hold the window — remaining pills, kit status, living count vs the map’s last beat — default to early extract. Practice the route in Solo first (no permadeath, no regular XP), then Beginner, then step up. Beginner guide.
Which extract mistakes wipe a Responder?
Scan this before you queue. Most deleted slots are process errors: silence, greed, or boarding a collapsing teammate.
Cheap kit, one Beginner extract first — Responders
Skipping Survival’s two-fail cue
Two failed speaker waves open early extract. Take it
One habit that saves the roster
On every stage jump or down past the difficulty’s respawn rule, say the state and pick early vs final out loud. That is the whole how to do early extract No More Room in Hell 2 loop. The beginner guide is first-drop order; maps is where the pad actually sits; Responders is the slot you are protecting.
No More Room in Hell 2 extract FAQ
What is No More Room in Hell 2 extraction?
Extraction is the end of a drop: reach the extract window, board alive, and keep the Responder. Final extract pays XP + Credits from team Supplies. Early extract keeps the character for little XP. See the steps above. 1.0 notes: updates.
How do I do early extract in No More Room in Hell 2?
Open early extraction once it unlocks (after a short period — exact minutes TBA) if the mission feels insurmountable. You keep the Responder and take little XP and Credits. Call it before the last CRC interact.
What does final extract pay?
Character XP plus Credits equal to the whole team’s Supplies. Rare Supplies pay more and occupy inventory. Early extract does not convert that bag.
What happens if I extract infected?
If you board alive, the infection does not carry to the next drop and you keep the Responder. If you collapse in the extract window you can turn on the squad. Early extract when the kit is gone. See infection.
Does Rescue Beacon replace early extract?
No. It blocks one character-loss, costs Credits or Merits, and occupies a loadout slot. It does not cleanse infection or hold the pad for you.
When should I early extract?
When infection is advancing with no Gene Therapy left, the squad is down past that difficulty’s respawn rule, or the loadout is too expensive to lose.
How does Beginner respawn work?
Timer respawn — Responders return each minute if not sooner. Extract fail and full mission fail can still permadeath the slot.
Do Hard and Nightmare allow respawns?
Harsher than Beginner/Normal: official copy says every death is final on higher difficulties. Do not wait for an objective respawn that is not coming.
Does Survival have early extract?
Yes. Fail two speaker waves and early extraction opens. Three successful waves bring the helicopter for the full extract.
